VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for ArcSDE/Database Administrator for our Bahrain operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Qualifications and Experience:
1. BS or MS in computer science.
2. Certified as oracle administrator (10g or 11 g)
3. Familiarity with thin client tools such as citric and windows remote terminal services
4. Familiar with ESRI and TELVENT-MINER and mineral database design principles and data modeling.
5. Familiar with ESRI and TELVENT-MINER and mineral data organization methodology and data management tools.
6. Familiar with database optimization and ARCSDE performing tuning.
7. Familiar with oracle 10g/11g,SQL server, and access databases
8. Excellent trouble shooting and problem resolution activities.
9. At least seven years of proven experience in ARCSDE/ORACLE administration including:
a. Proficiency in software (oracle, SQL server, and ARCSDE) installation process, fine tuning and performance related activities.
b. Ability to administer clustered and non-clustered databases.
c. Hands on experience with oracle 10 g and 11g
d. Hands on experience with arcsde 9.x/10.x
e. Hands on experience with sql server 2008
f. Hands on experience with UNIX and how it relates to database activities.
g. Good understanding of storage and its effect performance.
h. Database security and backup implementation
