Job Description:
VAM SYSTEMS is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Australia, Singapore & India.
VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for Application Developers for our Bahrain operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Qualifications and Experience:
1. BS or MS in computer science.
2. Arabic language is a plus
3. Familiarity with thin client tools such as citrix and windows remote terminal services
4. Familiarity with oracle 10g/11g,SQL server, and access database
5. Fluent with computer languages required for GIS development using ESRI and telvent-miner and miner tools.
6. Familiarity with SharePoint server 2010 development environment
7. The candidate (S) should have at least three years of proven experience in
1. Microsoft development tools
2. Data modeling
3. Using SQL queries for oracle 10g/11g and sql server 2008 R2
4. VB.NET for desktop application
5. ASP.NET &VB.NET for web applications
6. C# and java desktop and web application is a plus.
7. ESRI ArcGIS server 9.x/10.x (arcobject)/Telvent-M&M ArcFM 9.X/10.X object library for desktop development.
8. ESRI ARCGIS server 9.x/10.x for web development
9. Share point 2010 for share point applications development and work flow
10. Developing tools for electric and water utility networks.
a. Understanding data model (primary, substation, cables, joints, service connection, pumping stations, main pipes, service pipes, fitting.)
b. Use tracing tools on the electric network (from high voltage station to low voltage station to consumers-radial network)
c. Use of tracing tools on a water networks (looped) to isolate areas.
11. Graphical user interface design, usability design
12. Writing requirements, specifications, design documents, testing plans and user manuals in English
