1FBSSPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of 1st Financial Bank USA and is located at RMZ Millenia, near Ulsoor Lake, Bangalore.
1FBSSPL - IT Department caters to Bank's IT software development needs of the Bank by maintaining and developing software products for the Bank using Java & J2EE technologies.
These software products enable delivering Bank's services to its customers.
They are Looking for
Software Engineer/ Senior Software Engineer
The Software Engineer will perform Java based software design, development and deployment tasks within fast paced, disciplined engineering environment in a team setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Java programming
o Ability to program in all tiers of a typical J2EE application (Front-end, Business layer and O/R mapping/DAO layer)
o Write new code and enhance existing code
o Design code using core design patterns
o Maintain disciplined software engineering practices in day to day development work
- Participate in code and design reviews
- Participate in process reviews to ensure that software engineering processes meet changing business conditions and remain consistent with industry best practices
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, or engineering. Advanced knowledge of IT solutions, J2EE, web application development, enterprise application integration, use case specification and project management.
- 3-4 years of demonstrated experience in a developer/senior developer role in a J2EE environment.
- Experience developing applications for application servers such as Weblogic, JBOSS, or Oracle AS 9i/10g,
- JDBC, O/R mapping tools, Spring, Struts, Hibernate, XML, Security, performance, UNIX, RDBMS / SQL and related technologies.
- SOAP and SOA knowledge a plus
- Working knowledge of financial institutions and credit card issuers is preferred
- Experience defining Technical Requirements
- Hands on experience working from Use Cases
- In addition, individual must have 3+ years working in a J2EE web application environment with Oracle databases
Required JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Superior programming and debugging skills are essential
- Working knowledge of design methodologies and tools, data modeling, problem identification and interpretation, change management, and performance tuning for J2EE applications
- In depth knowledge of Rational Unified Process (RUP)
- Proficient with tools such as Eclipse, ant and CVS
- Ability to clearly communicate with others about mutual expectations
- Able to accurately estimate development levels of effort.
