BI - Business Intelligence Architect job opening with Photon Infotech, Chennai location.

Experience: 8 - 15 Years
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evangelize, document and publish data warehouse data modeling standards, data warehouse and reporting standards and procedures and data definitions.
- Architect a Data Warehouse environment including Reporting, Mapping and Error handling processes, procedures and data structures.
- Participate in requirements gathering, sessions with the business and BI Analysts to understand business analysis requirements
- Develop prototype views and reports of the data, and work with business users to refine their analysis requirements
- Work with BI Analysts and EDW DBA to develop Data Mart table designs
- Participate in data design walkthroughs to communicate Data Mart table designs to ETL developers
- Develop BI solutions using EDW standard tools set
- Develop and execute functional test plans of Data Mart loads and report/view objects
- Ensure that the IT architectural principles for Data Warehousing best practices are met in areas such as availability, scalability, manageability, and security.
- Provide Data Warehouse design integration ideas and assistance for cross-functional/domain business intelligence solutions for our clients.

- Be responsible for creating architectural drawings, documents and topologies and for collaborating with development, project, and business focused teams.
- Develop and steward governances for the database layer of the Data Warehouse.
- Work closely with DW/BI team on implementing the layers within the data architecture.
- Interact closely with the executive level.
- Do hands on design and development as and when necessary.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
 
- Hands on skills and excellent knowledge of Business Intelligence products like OBIEE, SQL BI, Open source BI engines, Business objects etc. including Business Intelligence development tools.
- Experience working within a data warehouse / data marts, environment and delivering reporting and analytic solutions with OLAP capabilities.
- Excellent skills and exposure in data migration and integration using ETL tools and scripting.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, terminology, reporting architecture, ability to write reconciliation and validation test cases
- Excellent skills in Dash boarding - Scorecarding or Executive Information System (EIS) functionality and capabilities.
- Experience designing, maintaining and implementing aggregate OLAP data marts and cubes
- Ability to mentor and lead team members in the areas OLAP reporting, Dashboard design and configuration
