Requirement:

Skills required:
- Degree in Computer Science with at least 2-3 years experience in technical writing with very high level of written and oral English.
- Previous work experience in IT field. Expertise in professional writing tools (ideally including Adobe Frame Maker, Snag IT or all related tools).
- Experience in technical document writing - Functional Specification documents,
- Experience on UML is compulsory.
- Exposure to VISIO/UML/

Job Responsibilities of the Position:
- Develop and write Pressmart product documentation. The documentation is in English and delivered in paper or electronic format.
- Collect, analyze and summarize information. Maintain a close level of communication and coordination with different teams in several different locations. Define documentation structure.
- Proof-read and validate documents technically and linguistically.
- Update documentation to take into account new product versions and the life cycle of the underlying software.
- Update existing and create new "F1" or "context-sensitive" help for Pressmart. Facilitate conversion of context-sensitive help to the printable manual. Design appealing layouts for all documentation.
- Write quick setup guides for individual modules. Write white papers on new and existing modules.
- Create procedures for documentation that facilitate rapid release schedules. Organize and manage all forms of documentation.
- Critically review public documents for accuracy. Write Release notes to accompany each upgrade.
- Write knowledge-base articles to be published to the web. Drive documents from draft to completion.
- Partner with developers to incorporate accurate technical content. Clearly and correctly state and summarize technical information and conclusions in documentation. Manage, organize, and communicate project information and project activities. Apply regulatory documentation requirements.
- Initiate suggestions or corrections to make a document more clear and concise.
- Write and manage web content for web sites. Work with minimal guidance. Should work on other projects as assigned. Should be good enough to take care of the "Content Writing" requirements.


Deliverables of the Position :
- Timely reporting to the reporting manager
- Delivering the technical documents as required
- Should understand the user requirements and make sure that the deliverables are inline with the user's requirements.
- Should familiarize himself/herself with latest technology and trends quickly. Should be able to do R&D on the requested tasks and produce the results within given timelines.
- Should be flexible enough to support the operations on need basis.
- Project documentation
- Adheres to Quality guidelines
- Adheres to schedules
- Should produce technical diagrams as requested.
