Job Description:

Urgent Opening for the Position of Associate Lead in UHG - Gurgaon

Please find the below JD for Datastage / Unix requisition. We are looking for AL with strong Datastage and Unix background.

Primary responsibilities:

 - Primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value. Identify and design most efficient and cost effective solution through research and evaluation of alternatives.
 - Participate in Design reviews, Test Case reviews, and Production Support readiness reviews for new releases, provide inputs for Go/No Go decision
 - Provides team leadership in areas of specific technical knowledge that is frequently sought out by others with significant experience in a single, complex development environment or across multiple platforms.
 - Develops innovative approaches.
 - Reviews the work of others.
 - Independent communication with business partners to resolve issues and negotiate project related items such as priorities and completion deadlines.
 - Conduct/Own root cause analysis on all incidents and recommend a corrective action plan.
 - Document suggestions for continuous process improvements for both OM and development activities.
 - Experience in Client handling.
 - Coordinating ETL strategies with other areas to ensure consistency across the enterprise
 - Developing and maintaining standards, common processes and best practices
 - Guiding, training, instructing and assisting others on a variety of technical issues
 - Creating effort/duration estimates and deliverable lists for proposed projects

Qualifications:

 - 4 -5 yrs or more experience designing and implementing ETL applications that integrate data from multiple sources into multiple targets
 - Strong experience with Datastage parallel processing job development
 - Strong experience with SQL
 - Strong experience with UNIX and shell scripting
 - Strong knowledge of systems development life cycle
 - Experience with OM processes is desirable
 - Experience in complex, cross-departmental projects involving multiple platforms
 - Mentoring development team members on the use of industry standard ETL practices and project methodology approaches
 - Experience creating detailed technical design specifications and leading walk-through
 - Proven ability to plan, organize and lead technical aspects of large scale projects to successful conclusion
 - Ability to work independently to recommend and develop solutions
 - Outstanding communication and presentation skills working across multiple geographies, business functions and teams
 - Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or other relevant degree, or 5+ years in one or more aspects of information systems development
 - Prior experience in Healthcare preferred.
 - Willing to work in shifts
 - Ability to work in global projects.

Desirable:
 
 - Background in healthcare industry applications development
 - Experience with C, C++
 - Experience with RDBMS such as DB2 or Oracle
 - Experience with Autosys job control/scheduling
 - Experience with financial application
