Avaya India is currently looking out for the following. 

Position: Database Services Development Lead 

• A total of 10 years of experience in software development with at least 6-7 yrs in database application development. 
• Java skills (JDK1.5.x) - development and debugging. At least 4 years experience with Java. 
• J2EE experience, particularly Jboss, Tomcat, WebSphere Application Server, Hibernate. 
• Expertise and experience in Oracle 10G and 11G Enterprise Edition database installation, administration, troubleshooting, scripting, performance tuning, backup, and recovery. 
• Familiarity with Oracle RAC 
• Strong background in SQL/PL-SQL 
• Strong Linux Knowledge especially Linux administration related to databases. 
• Experience with ClearCase or similar source control system 
• Contact Center/Reporting tools background desirable 
• Familiar with Shell scripting and ETL 
• Oracle DBA certification desired 

Job Description: 
• The DB Services Development Lead will be a key hands-on contributor to the Reporting team, serving as the expert on all database-related aspects of the product. 
• This will include designing future database architecture for the product, including core database, database services, import/export, ETL etc. It will also include performance tuning, troubleshooting and bug-fixing in existing versions of the product. 
• The person should be able to lead other developers in the DB Services team, and also should be able to propose ideas and articulate his/her vision to other senior members of the team both in India and the USA.
