Job Description: Our client, one of the leading tradeshow services providers is looking for a solid J2EE Developer to join their growing team in Chicago, IL. This solid individual will be responsible for application development, support and maintenance, as well as will be working closely with business and technical staff and outside vendors.
- Solid software development experience, with at least 3 years in J2EE, Spring, Struts, Hibernate, Swing and relational database programming.
- strong overall computer programming background, primarily in JAVA, JSP, XML, SQL, Unix, and a variety of other scripting tools and languages.
- 4+ years experience leading Application Development and rollout-type projects
- Experience in Web Services integrations on both server (broker) and client (consumer) side.
- Experience in Axis (Open Source Java Base Web Services server) is a PLUS
- Proven track record in developing system requirements/technical architecture design.
- Solid experience in systems development life cycle.
- Ability to adapt to fast turnaround on projects, building reusable components that can easily be redeployed on other projects.
- Sold written and oral communication skills.
- Sharp aptitude for requirements analysis and definition, data modeling, and use-case analysis.
- Accomplished with version control and change management processes, policies, and principals.
- Project Management experience, Ingres database, and Java Certification a PLUS
- Experience manage other resources such as vendors, technical resources is also a plus.
