Job Purpose:
The candidate will lead a team responsible for designing and implementing enhancements.
KRA:
Lead the team to achieve predictable and timely releases of software
Contribute to product roadmap and feature planning
Initiate and manage efforts to improve the quality of the product
Help build the team and grow skills of the group
Communicate features of the product, best practices, and conventions inside and outside the company and organize feedback for product evolution
Work with Quality Assurance to develop test plans and strategies to produce high-quality products.
Work with Technical Communications to ensure software features and technologies are properly documented.
Present to and work with senior management to communicate knowledge, ideas and opinions.
Functional Expertise:
Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
Experience leading a team of software engineers
Experience working for software product development company
Experience working with companies in BPM, CRM or Workflow automation space a plus
Technical Expertise:
Strong OOAD skills
Strong experience working with Java
Strong experience working with working with JSP, DHTML, CSS, AJAX and JavaScript
Exposure to Object Oriented JavaScript, JS toolkits, Cross Browser issues is a plus
Exposure to Accessibility and Usability concepts
Experience using XML technologies
RDBMS and related tools experience
Work experience with different app servers preferred
Leading a team of 3-6 engineers.
Education: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or related field.
Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience preferably for a product based company.
