Role Profile:
-> This position of Offshore Strategy Analyst faces off and works directly with the Detroit-based AIMD Strategic Planning and Architecture teams. The Offshore Strategy Analyst also works with GM IS&S teams to coordinate support for GM's key application tracking systems (ATS) and portfolio metrics for the Global Sales, Service, and Marketing (GSSM) group.
-> The Offshore Strategy Analyst, as well as most or all of the offshore team, will be required to work hours that overlap with the GM and teams in Detroit, i.e., until at least 11:00am ET.
-> The Offshore Strategy Analyst is responsible for select activities described below.
-> Mapping the Domain specific Applications to the Domain portion of key business processes
-> Developing Bill of IT Application Targets and Forecasts for Compliance and Standards for all GM Regions
-> Monitor regional compliance by collecting compliance data from regions and validating against global programs; computing compliance metrics, and updating the corporate BoIT system with compliance scores.
-> Participation in the Monthly Bill of IT governance meetings.
-> Collect Applications inventory Data from each supplier in the Domain and providing the inventory to the Enterprise
-> Maintain the GSSM master application listing, currently in the Application Tracking System (ATS) and other tools, with up-to-date Application information supporting strategic management parameters
-> Audit, Validate & Approve application changes made in ATS by Application Owners.
-> Support for benchmarking study research
-> Report the completion of any project resulting in the consolidation, retirement, decommissioning of an existing application, or the addition of a new Application
-> Coach ADS suppliers on use of Strategic Planning processes
-> Maintain long-term Application landscape roadmaps
Person Profile (essential/desirable qualifications, experience, knowledge):
The candidate should be an experienced IT professional. The following detail describes the required qualifications:
-> Located in Mumbai or Bangalore
-> 5-7+ years in Information technology experience
-> 5+ years with MS-Office capabilities (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
-> 4+ years experience in an Application Development environment
-> Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-> Strong interaction and interpersonal skills to work with both Client colleagues and GM IT staff
-> Strong skills in preparation of metrics reporting and presentations
-> Excellent data analytical skills
Preferred:
-> Conversant with Automotive Industry terms and best practices
-> Conceptual understanding and working knowledge of large scale packages such as SAP and/or Siebel
-> Experience with Transformation strategies or applications convergence analysis
