EDI Doc Tracking Reporting - Doc Tracking is the manual operational process that produces the daily, Weekly and Monthly EDI Transition Metrics for VWRI. These metrics are posted to the Intranet and distributed via email to the Services, B-to-B, and Accounts Payable Departments.
The matrix of skills required includes:
- MS-Access: Intermediate Experience Level (Queries, Macros, Tables, Forms)
- UNIX: Low Experience Level
- EDI Data Work Flow: Low Experience Level
- Lotus Notes Email: Low Experience Level
- Pirobase Intranet Content Updates: Low Experience Level
The high level process flow for these operational activities is as follows:
- Extract the EDI Data files from UNIX (multiple files, one iteration per file)
- FTP the data files to the network share
- Load the data files to the Doc Tracking MS-ACCESS database and resolve duplicates
- Run Maintenance Jobs against MS-ACCESS Db, and send Email to EDI team with Missing Tracking Partners
- Run Functional Acknowledgement (FA) Reconciliation Process
- Post Reports to the Intranet
- Perform Intranet Page Maintenance
