The position is one with a high degree of responsibility, with one of the big four IT conglomerates in India. Job Details : We are looking for senior resource (7-10 years) that can take core technical role. He/ She will be a hands-on Technical Lead and will have people reporting into them. They will own major deliverables and will be expected to provide in-depth technical contribution.

The core technology that we work on is .Net and SQL Server. We prefer people that have Data warehousing experience. However, it is not mandatory. Similarly, we prefer people with Finance domain experience but it is not mandatory.

The candidate will report to a Technical Development Manager in Pune, India and participate as member of global software development team. Additional responsibilities include:

- Participate in all phases of System Development Life Cycle
o Understand business requirements and functional specifications and translate to technical solutions
o Participate in design process and deliver design specifications
o Develop solutions according to design specifications
o Perform unit testing
o Deployment
- Provide production support and maintain existing systems by researching and trouble-shooting any issues/problems
- Document the requirements and technical design as required
- Maintain constant communication with other team members, technical manager and the team in US

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES (e.g. shifts, travel overseas, hours):
Willing to work flexible hours (to overlap with the US time zone) if required.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

• Certified in Microsoft Technologies
• Understanding of financial market

WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:

Essential Desirable

- Must have at least 7-10 years experience as a Developer/Analyst developing multi-tier web and/or windows applications in financial industry
- Must have clear understanding of client-server applications
- Must have strong background in object oriented analysis and design
- Must have analyzed, designed, developed and unit tested multi-tier client server applications
- Must have been exposed to full SDLC process
- Must be familiar with project management concepts
- Must have application deployment & maintenance experience
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Must be familiar with data structure & algorithms
- Knowledge Financial Protocols such as FIX 4.0 4.2 and 4.4 (FIXML)

- Experience in working with teams located remotely (such as in US)
- Understanding of RUP, Agile software development and/or eXtreme programming methodologies
- Understanding of data modelling, querying and mining techniques
