B. Internet Services Business The Internet Services work involves creating a cutting-edge community portal for the company’s 300,000 students and 4 million alumni across 37 countries worldwide, with value-added features (Web 2.0, etc.) for these users. The business also runs the e-learning website of the company, onlinevarsity.com. Onlinevarsity.com is one of India’s pioneering websites, having been launched in 1997. Internet Services also runs the websites for the company covering its 10 businesses worldwide. An additional responsibility is Internet advertising, where it acts as the in-house agency for the company’s businesses for all the Internet advertising & marketing of the company’s brands. This includes Internet advertising, media planning and buying, creative development, etc. The IS business will also enter new areas of activity in the area of e-learning and Internet and mobile technologies. The Internet Services team Multi-functional team experienced in consumer Internet in roles such as marketing, product management, information and graphics design, engineering, QA, networks, content & creative writing. C. “Sr. Product Manager /Product Manager – Internet Services” role & responsibility Location: Mumbai Primarily responsible for developing new websites of the company (students’ portal, e-learning site, etc.) Job description. Detail product features 2. Interact with users to pre-test above features. 3. Create the GUI for the website for above features. 4. Create the User Needs product documentation for use by Engineering. 5. Responsible for user acceptance testing for product delivered by Engineering. 6. Conceive and implement marketing strategies to improve adoption of site. 7. Post launch, collate customer feedback, monitor competition and monitor industry developments to develop feature improvements and develop new feature ideas. 8. Keep abreast with best practices in product development & information architecture & implement same. Work with cross-functional team of graphic designer, tech developers, and content people/writers. Work will straddle marketing & technical functions and involve interacting with diverse set of businesses as well as people inside and outside the company. D. “Sr. Product Manager / Product Manager – Internet Services” desired profile * 5 years work-ex with minimum 2 years work experience in consumer / B2B Internet in similar product development role * Familiarity with information architecture / GUI development practices. * MBA / analytical skills preferred. Interest in communication(advertising) and/or IT technologies useful. E. “Product Manager – Internet Services” reporting Will report to VP (Internet Services), the head of the Internet business F.
