Position: Principal Software Engineer (Java)
Job Description:
Candidate would be charged with the development of Java/JSP/AJAX based applications to be used in mobile telecom operator's data center. Maintenance and support of infrastructure applications that currently support millions of end users is also required. Candidate should have excellent skill in troubleshooting problems based on reported symptoms, log files, core debugging and source code reading. Candidate should be a highly motivated individual and should be able to work with minimal directions. The candidate would be exposed to the best practices and technologies that are put in use at actual production systems of large telecom operators.
Experience in the development of location based service clients, knowledge of MLP, SUPL protocols, Weblogic server, Oracle 9.x/10.x (on Solaris) is a big plus. Travel to Japan may be required.

Desired Skills :
Experience in UNIX, Java/AJAX, C/C++, network and multi-thread development. Job requires support and development of AJAX based apps for mobile telecom operators.
* Excellent understanding of Java/AJAX/C++ fundamentals and object oriented programming.
* UNIX development experience in sockets, multi-thread/concurrency control application development.
* 2+ years of Java/AJAX/J2EE/J2ME/JDBC development experience.
* Experience in developing Mobile Location Based services/server components
* Shell scripting
* Knowledge of Japanese is a big plus.
* Experience on WIN32/64/.NET is optional
